What it does

Notes that talk back

Thoughtloft reads across all your notes, finds the connections you missed and brings old ideas back right when they matter. Every note is a plain .md file on your Mac.

How it works

Write, connect, ask

01
Write a note. See what it connects to.
As you write, Thoughtloft looks through everything you saved and shows what your note relates to, with the reason why.
02
Let your notes talk back
It reads across your notes on its own and points out ideas that belong together, even when you wrote them months apart.
03
Ask what you already know
Type or speak a question. The answer comes from your own notes and shows the passage behind each point.

Your thinking stays yours

Private by default

It lives on your Mac

Your library is stored on your Mac. Nothing leaves until you say so.

AI is off until you turn it on

You add your own key, and each AI feature has its own switch.

It asks before it touches your notes

A change to a note you already have waits until you press Apply.

Plain files you can keep

A folder of .md files stays on your Mac, so you can leave any time.

Platforms and status

Mac first

Not out yet. Most of the Mac app is built and there is no date. The waitlist hears first. The iPhone app and sync come after the Mac app.

I've kept notes for years. Ideas, highlights, voice memos. Most of them just sit there. I wanted a place where my notes talk back, where an idea from two years ago shows up the day I need it. So I'm building it.
